The first in-person Symposium since 2019!

August 2023 Symposium in Uganda

The Lord has opened the door for the next Symposium scheduled in August 2023 at Zion Community Center in Seeta Nazigo, Uganda. Praise God that the teaching of His Word and the discipleship opportunity has once again become available.

Mark Cooper will be traveling to Uganda, August 5-13 to visit our ministry partners, teach a Bible Study Technique workshop, and teach the Gospel of Mark during the three-day Symposium (August 10-12). Here are the events scheduled for this visit. For details of each organization go to www.justbibleministries.org.

  1. Monday, August 7: Grace Community Preschool
  2. Monday, August 7: Seya Light School and Church
  3. Tuesday, August 8: Volunteer Heart Community for Girl Child Concern
  4. Wednesday, August 9: Bible Study Techniques Workshop taught by Mark Cooper
  5. Thursday - Saturday, August 10-12: Symposium - Gospel of Mark taught by Mark Cooper
  6. Sunday, August 13: Service at Zion Community Center

The Bible Study Techniques Workshop will be attended by twelve (12) selected pastors from both Uganda and Kenya who have the passion and desire to use the Symposium workbooks in their local villages (or beyond) to teach the Word of God. The training will use the book of Malachi as the study text. At the end of the workshop the participants will have knowledge to observe what the scriptures say, interpret the meaning, and apply it to daily life. In addition, each participant will receive an Inductive Study Bible as a valuable resource.

At the Symposium Mark Cooper will teach through the Gospel of Mark highlighting the confessions documented that Jesus is the Son of God, along with the lessons Jesus taught, and miracles Jesus performed. Two hundred people are projected to attend this Symposium. Each participant will receive a copy of the Gospel of Mark workbook (Mark Cooper developed) that is translated into the local Lugandan language. To ensure the Word of God is fully understood, for those participants who do not have a Bible, one will be provided in Lugandan. One hundred Bibles will be available for distribution.

Your prayers and support are needed and necessary to make this a successful trip and that the Word of God continues to expand, and disciples of Jesus Christ, The Son of God are developed throughout East Africa.
